Root Chakra Ritual: Reclaiming Safety & Belonging

The Root Chakra (Muladhara) is your energetic anchor. It governs your sense of safety, stability, and connection to the earth. When life feels chaotic or uncertain, root work helps you return to your body, your breath, and your truth.

Grounding Ritual: Earth & Embodiment

Try this gentle practice to reconnect with your root:

Feet on the Earth: Stand barefoot on grass, soil, or sand. Feel the ground beneath you.

Breathwork: Inhale deeply through the nose, exhale slowly through the mouth. Repeat 10 times.

Mantra: Whisper or chant, “I am safe. I am held. I belong.”

Touch: Massage your feet or legs with warm oil (sesame or almond are lovely).

Optional: Place a red stone (like garnet or jasper) near your feet or hold it during meditation.

Root Nourishment Recipe: Roasted Root Veg Bowl

• Sweet potato, beetroot, carrot, parsnip—chopped and roasted with olive oil, rosemary, and garlic

• Serve over quinoa or brown rice with tahini drizzle

• Optional: Add sautéed greens or fermented veggies for gut support

Journal Prompts for Root Chakra Reflection

• Where in my life do I feel most grounded?

• What makes me feel safe, supported, and at home in my body?

• What ancestral or cultural roots nourish me?

• What boundaries help me feel secure?

Affirmations to Anchor Your Energy

• I trust the rhythm of my life.

• I am deeply rooted, even in uncertainty.

• My body is my home, and I honour it.

• I am worthy of safety, stability, and support.

This week, tune into your root chakra. Let it guide your choices, your care, and your connection.
