Heart Chakra Self Care: Listening to the Wisdom of Your Heart Space

This week we’re exploring the Heart Chakra — the centre of compassion, connection, boundaries, and emotional truth.

When this space is balanced, we feel open yet grounded, loving yet discerning, connected yet sovereign.

When it’s out of balance, the body and energy field often speak before the mind does.

Signs the Heart Chakra May Be Out of Balance

Difficulty receiving love, care, or support

Over‑giving or people‑pleasing

Feeling emotionally closed, guarded, or numb

Grief that feels stuck or unprocessed

Resentment, bitterness, or old hurts resurfacing

Difficulty trusting others or trusting your own heart

Postural patterns like a collapsed chest or rounded shoulders

Feeling disconnected from joy, softness, or tenderness

None of these signs mean something is wrong.

They simply show where the heart is asking for gentleness, attention, and space.

Mini Ritual for Heart Softening

A simple practice you can do anytime.

Sit comfortably and place one hand over your heart and one over your solar plexus.

Take three slow breaths, imagining the chest widening with each inhale.

Visualise a soft green light filling the heart space.

On each exhale, release anything that feels heavy, tight, or protective.

Stay for a few moments, letting the body tell you what it needs.

This is not about forcing openness — it’s about offering safety.

Affirmation for the Week

“I allow my heart to open at the pace that feels safe for me. I honour my tenderness, my boundaries, and my capacity to love.”
