The Zen of Losing Power and Being Human

Once upon a time, in a cosy little wellness clinic nestled among fragrant sage bundles and crystal grids…

Chapter 1: The Mindful Mishap

The morning sun peeked through the clinic windows, casting a warm glow on the polished wooden floor. Our protagonist—let’s call her Luna, because it sounds mystical—was in her element. She’d just finished arranging the healing crystals, ensuring their energies aligned like a harmonious celestial dance.

Luna had a client scheduled—a seeker of balance, a connoisseur of chakra balancing. The appointment was sacred; the energy in the room hummed with anticipation. Luna took a deep breath, centring herself. She envisioned a serene space where healing flowed effortlessly.

And then it happened.

With the grace of a startled deer, Luna accidentally kicked the power cord under her desk. The room plunged into darkness. The crystals gasped (or maybe that was just Luna). The soft music stopped mid-note, and Luna’s carefully curated ambiance vanished like a fleeting dream.

Chapter 2: The Enlightenment of Fumbling Fingers

Luna didn’t panic. She was a seasoned practitioner, after all. She reached for her phone, intending to call an electrician. But alas, her fumbling fingers betrayed her—they knocked the phone off the desk, and it skittered across the room like a wayward crystal.

Now, not only was the power out, but Luna also had a phone-shaped bruise on her ego. She sat cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by darkness, and contemplated her existence. Was this a cosmic joke? Had the universe decided to play hide-and-seek with her chi?

Chapter 3: The Illumination of Laughter

As Luna pondered her predicament, the doorbell chimed. Her client had arrived. Luna scrambled to her feet, feeling her way toward the entrance. She opened the door, and there stood a woman with expectant eyes. Luna smiled, channelling her inner Buddha.

“Welcome,” Luna said, her voice echoing in the dimness. “Today’s session will be… enlightening.”

Her client stepped inside, and Luna led her to the treatment room. They settled on cushions, surrounded by the silent crystals. Luna explained, “We’ll work with the energy of darkness today. It’s a rare technique.”

Her client raised an eyebrow. “Darkness?”

“Yes,” Luna replied, suppressing a giggle. “Imagine your chakras as tiny fireflies, navigating the void. We’ll call it ‘Chakra Noir.’”

And so, they meditated in the dark. Luna guided her client through imaginary energy vortexes, all while secretly praying that her husband would fix the power before the session ended.

Chapter 4: The Universe’s Punchline

Just as Luna’s client reached a state of blissful nothingness, the lights flickered back to life. Luna blinked, momentarily blinded by the sudden brightness. Her client sat up, wide-eyed.

“Wow,” the client said. “That was… unexpected.”

Luna grinned. “Indeed. Our chakras danced in the cosmic disco of uncertainty.”

Her client laughed. “Next time, can we do ‘Chakra Technicolor’?”

And so, Luna learned that even in the darkest moments, laughter could be her guiding star. Imperfections were part of the human experience—the universe’s way of saying, “Hey, you’re not a crystal; you’re allowed to trip over cords.”

As her client left, Luna whispered, “Next time, it’ll be brighter. Literally.”

And it was. Because Luna’s husband fixed the power, and the clinic glowed like a thousand suns.

And there you have it—the Zen of Losing Power and Being Human. May your clinic forever be lit (both metaphorically and electrically)!
